If you're looking for a New Year's resolution this year that will stick, may I suggest volunteering? There are so many opportunities just waiting for someone like you

You can donate blood. There’s always a need. You can donate regularly to a homeless shelter, preparing and serving meals or just making the people there feel human. You can offer support for people getting out of abusive situations through shelters, hotlines, or donation drives. You can volunteer at an assisted living center. Most of the residents there are so lonely and just want to be seen and heard. You can do volunteer work at your local animal shelter by providing food and care and perhaps even fostering an animal who just wants and needs someone to show them love. You can especially volunteer at your local LGBTQ+ by providing gender-affirming clothing and support, or helping with pride events, or simply creating a safe space and being present for someone who may have no one else to support them

And the fulfillment you’ll receive is enormous. Just know you can make a difference this year. And then go make a difference
I love this post, it makes such a difference and is very rewarding giving even an hour or two of your time.

Every Christmas Day for about ten years me and my now ex wife have taken our daughters to our local soup kitchen.
We stay for two hours helping when asked.

It helps our girls stay grounded and to treat everyone the same no matter the circumstances they are in.
