Question for the ladies: is chivalry still a trait that women truly want in a man? To treat her like a queen? To stand up for her, even when he knows she is capable? To defend her and protect her from harm? To speak up to those who would disrespect her?
Those traits have been instilled in me since childhood, yet more and more, I get the feeling that many ladies do not want it. It’s causing me to begin questioning if I should attempt to shift my values.
I don’t feel that it infers that women are weak or incapable. I feel that it is a sign of respect, love, devotion and being a natural defender and decent human being.
Am I wrong here? Asking for genuine input. 🙏🏻

Don't ever shift those values!

I don't think it's a question of shifting your values, but rather finding a woman who shares them, and I can
assure you that many still do.

But women lately don't need men. For anything, apparently.

You are the BEST at protecting, sir. 🥰

In my opinion only, the protection is only at it's best when I know the protector doesn't suffer for it. When he protects and keeps the lines clear. Emotions dictate this...that "hot head" effect is the difference. ❤️ Care, Love, and treating someone as a Queen or King can be a very difficult responsibility. 🫂 The want is always there for me until it feels unhealthy, if that makes sense and sometimes what makes sense for me doesn't alway make sense for others, hence the reason I am alone (ish) 🤣👅
BIG *smooches* 💋

I think chivalry in general is still something most women want. But just like anything in a relationship, communication is key. I like for a man to open doors, be the one to drive, walk me to my car, etc. But, I wouldn’t want a man to speak for me or to decide what I need to be “protected” from. That being said, you shouldn’t consider changing your values or what you enjoy in a relationship or else you’ll never be happy.
But women lately don't need men. For anything, apparently.
News to me! I think a very small percentage of women feel that way.
