I did that for years. But that also cost me my three younger brothers. So when one of them almost died, I changed my mind. I reconnected. I didn't want the regret of losing them all.
My little thoughts today are, when you're with a real man, you do not have to ask for anything, not a date night, money, time, affection, absolutely nothing. When a man truly desires you, he moves differently with you on his own, no need to remind him. He will make the time to make you feel a priority without you having to beg or ask for even the bare minimum of him. He will call, plan things, show up, his consistency will be loud and fierce for you are his one true desire and need and want. His intentions will be very clear and pure. You will never have to chase what is meant for you. A real man never makes you question your place in his life. He will pour into you because it brings him peace. He will invest in you as a woman because he knows your value. When a man truly wants you, his effort will be natural, loyalty will be clear and automatic, his love will be intentional. And you will never again have to wonder what it feels like to be fully chosen and loved.
I think this goes both ways, effort should be returned to be truly connected.
