I’m going to jump in here.
My experience has been more food than a person can cope with. Maybe 7 or 8 courses.

My local Indian is always fully booked at Xmas. Going out is definitely getting more popular
Idk for elswhere but in the south traditionally we don’t have meat for the dinner, so basically fish and soup or vegetables dishes. Then the “13 desserts” and for the Christmas Day we have meat, side dishes and the “bûche de noel”

to be honest I just went to Christmas market and when I saw something nice I bought it
I really struggled this year with gifts. I have a dislike for giving gift cards / money but for some people it’s really hard to work out what they will like.
