Luton got offered a big sponsorship deal from a betting firm and turned them down because they're against it and went for some local company instead.
Pokie machines taking all the cash off pensioners down at the pub, and sports betting being part of the mainstream lingo for kids are the key factors in Aussies being the biggest financial losers per person in the world. At least one state has banned gambling advertising during prime timeslots on TV, but it's everywhere.
My AFL team got rid of the pokie machines at the club and have rejected gambling sponsors too, I think the tide is slowly turning
