ANZAC day national holiday in Australia today, one of our two memorial days for the men and women of the armed services. Commemorating the first deployment of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps to get slaughtered on the beaches of Gallipoli in the first world war because British officers couldn't read a map. But less sarcasm than I'm attributing to it.
