im going on almost a year since i have had a dog...

Haha her growing days are over...unless you count getting wider. She's an old lady and will still be a pup to me. She turned 12 this year

i understand Pandora made it to 15+ she was still my puppy to me on that sad day

Yea I'm dreading the day my pup passes on... I'm gonna be a big mess that day

been through it 3 or 4 times now. its really fucking brutal having to make the decision over quality of life issues. she had severe arthritis

I'm sure it is very brutal and my pups arthritis will only get worse as she gets older. Tore both her acls and they never healed right

omg... thats how i lost my first dog (black lab/ retriver) she was 14 and blew her second 2 weeks after her first

I don't know when she tore them to be honest and right it's crazy how much they get hooked into your heart

Yea i think my vet told me that it's common with them. They recommend surgery and would've costed 6 grand per leg. She was 10 at the time and I was like no it's not worth it

im kinda thinking maybe a german shepherd or just go for another lab/retriever

Only thing I know about Shepherds is their bad hips, don't know much about lab/retrievers though
