Group Banter Race to a million

I'm not a super religious person, but I'm also not an idiot. Hiding behind a narrow minded and outdated interpretation of God or spirituality, cherry picking which bigoted old beliefs are relevant today and which aren't, and using hypocrisy and hatred to treat other human beings as anything other or lesser or undeserving of love, peace, community and faith actively flies in the face of the actual core teachings of nearly every major religion.
If you are queer and you have a religion or belief or faith, if you have a spiritual or personal connection with your God or Gods, hold onto that for yourself and don't let the lies of homophobes poison your day.
There is Evil in this world, and it comes from intentionally inflicting suffering, from perpetrating hate, from turning away from those in need, and from tearing others down in order to put the selfish ahead in pursuit of greed or other self-aggrandisement.
If Hell exists, the way you were born is not going to send you there. Who you love is not going to send you there. The opinions of petty hate filled bigots is not going to send you there.
You are loved.

No apologies needed. Now ima write an essay of my own

The thing is I am pretty religious, and I know with my whole heart that our physical nature and relationships are NOT what determine our worth in the eyes of the higher power I believe in. And what we do or do not believe regarding religion also does not determine anything

There's a lot of random, crazy, conflicting stuff in the Bible, but the main message is: Love your neighbor as yourself. Help those in need. Don't judge other people. The rest is just extra flavor
