"Midnight match?" she whispered.

They tiptoed to the frozen lake, where forest animals were already waiting. Owly the owl was the referee, and Squeaky the squirrel cheered from the sidelines.

Under the stars, Max zipped across the ice, scoring goals, while Bella blocked every puck with a giggle. They played and laughed until the sky turned pink.

Back in bed, Max smiled and whispered, “Best game ever.”
