My dogs were scared so I'm glad they aren't here to have to suffer through thatYea I haven't really decided what I'm doing lol. I'll either go to my one buddies house, go hang with family or just relax at home and keep Gracie safe from the mean fireworks
Yea I'll be hearing them all night as well. Some fireworks don't phase Gracie, it's the really loud ones that scare her. I'm glad they don't have to suffer the scary fireworks either

It really doesn't suck more in America. We don't give away half of our wage to income taxes and pretend like healthcare is "free;" we have have room to breathe (you walk for ten minutes and you're in another town, we walk ten minutes and we're still in a Costco parking lot); we can buy 10x more space for sane amount of money; career, business and investment opportunities galore—and no one will judge you for that "radical" shit you pursue; we're not required to stay in our lane or social status for entirety of our lives; we can file for bankruptcy and reinvent ourselves multiple times, if you ruin your reputation by some unfortunate situation you can live to another town and become a new you; it's sunny year-round, you can take a vacation in near-tropics and go skiing all in the same country and during same time of year.
Need to or prefer to live frugally? No contest.
I would struggle in UK to earn half the money I make now in my sector and my living expenses would probably almost double.
Sure, we have our idiotic problems, but you're not living in anywhere close to any idea of utopia even by relative standards. A lot of negative views are media exaggeration and you'll rarely hear about the good things, because that doesn't make for good entertainment.
