So sorry to hear this you're in my thoughts. My mom was diagnosed in June of 2023 and she passed away on March 24th 2024 she only lived 9 months after her diagnosis but we believe she had ALS beginning of 2022 or end of 2021 just didn't know anything yet as she was still fine then. It's hard to lose a parent especially your own mother. My mom was my best friend and it sucks to be without her.
