Group Banter Race to a million

You didn't kill it. I did but then again I tend to speak out a lot at times with things that are important but it's all good. I mean everyone has their own opinions and we all have our rights to believe what we want and support what we want. So I respect others who don't agree with this law and all that. As for me I don't really know what to think about it just depends on how it will be displayed and all that stuff I guess.
The problem is that the law is not all-inclusive, which is all sorts of messed up for so, so many reasons. If the law said "Must have the showpiece of every religion and non-religion displayed," it wouldn't be such a problem.

But we still have the whole separation of church and state thing. Imagine if you were part of a tiny religion and you suddenly had to adhere to standards of another, predominant religion. It's incredibly wrong and demeaning.

Absolutely! What if you’re a Sikh or Hindu or (gasp) Muslim?

Well you could say I'm a Christian that doesn't go to church or belong to a "religion" just because I don't feel I have to follow their rules and things they want me to do in order to be part of their church and religion. I was once Catholic but I left after some time when I just found things out about that religion itself and just wasn't for me or aligned with what I believe and how I interpret the Bible. I say I have faith but I'm not practicing a religion though. I'm a spiritual and just have my personal relationship with God. Again I will never force anyone to believe how I do or judge anyone based on how they live their life. Only time I get upset is when I see people making fun of things that are important to me and personal, but it's your right to say whatever but it's also my right to say what I feel about things too.

Just want peace and support for all and just have mutual respect for everyone.

I think you’re missing the point storm, this isn’t about your personal beliefs or rights to hold those beliefs. Which we all totally respect.

It’s about government effectively trying to force people to be Christian

See that's the thing. You never see anything where people make jokes about Muslims or name calling their God which they call Allah but yet in the world today christians are picked on the most I feel and our God is turned into something that's fun to make fun of. Never would I call someone's God a made up fairy tale or he's just some magical wizard or something. Mulisms love Allah and I would never try to offend anyone who was mulism. Yet I'm a Christian and I get told many things to me and have my God mocked and made fun of and that's where I don't understand why is it okay to do that to me and my God but no one dares to do that to a Mulism and if people do, you never hear about it hardly.

I know what it's about. I'm speaking in general about religions and everything as a whole.

Again if you want to have personal things that should be fine but yea as a whole then no it's not fair to other religions.

Anyway I'm getting off my soap box now lol so please we can get back to the randomness of this thread. Lol

Hope everyone is well and has had a nice day overall

I mean the law means nothing when the sitting government just ignore it
Idk why it's even a thing to have stuff like that in classrooms anyway. I feel schools are trying to be kids parents now and just think they know what is best or right. I feel religion is something personal and private to some and you do that in your home, a church or whatever you wanna be, but in a school and a public one at that isn't right though.

I remember a cousin of mine while he was in college he had to write a essay I believe on someone that was his hero or that he admired. He wrote about God and his professor failed him and told him he can't write about that because God isn't real or something like that. It was a long time ago when this happened and my cousin fought to have this as his essay and yet the teacher still failed him and my cousin took the failing grade because he told his professor he wasn't going to write about anything else and so my cousin took that F with pride.
