My mum worked in care before and she always felt similarly to how you describe it it’s sucky
Yeah it ain't easy and always short staffed so that doesn't help
I try my best not to show when im feeling down
People don't deserve to deal with that.
I try remember if someone is dealing with me they are most likely having a really bad day
Slightly related but not, was talking to a customer yesterday and she’d found an old man on the street in the rain the night before, drunk and fallen and hit his head. Took him back to the care home where he lived, he shouldn’t have been out apparently 
they called an ambulance but it was going to take three hours so she took him to A&E herself and stayed with him till 2am. What a lovely lady.

3 hours for an ambulance is ridiculous wouldn't want to be in an emergency
Only time I’ve needed an ambulance it was about an hour. But it wasn’t “urgent”
When my grandad got taken in to hospital it was 5 hours for the ambulance
