Apologies in advance for the following unasked for opinion as well, but I like ideas and people’s passions.
If nothing else it’s a post to the count.
For something like this, I don’t think ya need solid business knowledge. Could be built over time as a hobby almost. It’s niche, so the most important thing is ‘aesthetic and knowledge’ to a point.
A simple self built but classy website (can be done with very little outlay initially) with your knowledge imparted into it, am probably off with the following as I have no knowledge but I imagine seasonal expectations of grapes/ wines / whatever else may be relevant / suggested wines and why. Even before that you could set up a simple fb/insta/similar page to work on it in private for no expenditure at all until you felt comfortable enough to even do the website.
Can spend as long as want building information/posts into it, so it has a time line before you ever publish it/ share it so to speak. At this point could add links or whatever is relevant to what you are ‘selling’ so to speak, be it product or membership etc. This would give it credence and also keep expenditure to a minimum. Ppl often launch things to quickly, can build something in the background before ever sharing it to give the impression it has been around for ages the first time anyone ever sees it
What’s the worst that could happen after all, you end up with a nice little site/insta/hobby etc that you could use as something to share your knowledge and passions. But you could end up with something more.
Haven’t re read/tightened up any of the above, just a little food for thought for what it’s worth.
