A dog who has lived a life that long desveres to go out with honour in exactly the way your family is doing it. It's going to hurt so much, but saying goodbye in that way is the absolute best thing to do with a pet. You are in no way the grim reaper, you are the same Ciaran she's had her whole life and she's going to be so thankful for you right till the end.
