So let’s say it’s noon and you have 5 hours to go of work. 5 hours ago it was 7am, so it will take the same amount of time to get from now to home as it took to get from 7am to now

But at 1pm, it will be four hours to go, which would be the same as 9am

So even though only an hour has gone by, it feels like two hours has gone by (7am to 9am)
