Group Banter Race to a million

Deep in the Whispering Woods, Princess Maddie tossed and turned in her soft, velvet bed, completely unable to fall asleep. No matter how many sheep she counted, her eyes simply stayed wide open.
Restless, she slipped on her slippers and walked out to the castle balcony, where she heard a strange, deep rumbling sound coming from the garden below.
Curious rather than afraid, Maddie tiptoed down the stone spiral staircase and into the moonlit courtyard. Sitting beside the rose bushes was a massive, gentle-looking ogre named Ciaran, who was softly crying into his giant hands.
"What's wrong, Ciaran?" Princess Maddie asked gently.
Ciaran looked up, wiping a tear as big as a teacup. "I am so clumsy, Princess," he sniffled. "I want to be the castle nightwatchman, but every time I walk, my giant boots make a loud THUD that wakes up the whole kingdom."
Maddie smiled, realizing they had the exact opposite problem. "What if you didn't walk?" she suggested. "What if you stayed in one place and used your deep, booming voice to sing a soothing night song instead?"
Ciaran’s face lit up. He cleared his throat and began to hum a low, rumbling lullaby. The sound was like the gentle vibration of a purring cat, echoing softly through the trees.
As Maddie listened to Ciaran's warm, cozy melody, her eyelids grew incredibly heavy. She yawned, waved a sleepy goodnight to her new friend, and tucked herself back into bed.
With Ciaran successfully keeping watch as the kingdom's official musical nightwatchman, Princess Maddie finally drifted off into a deep, peaceful sleep, filled with happy dreams.
