Banter Random Facts About Yourself

The short version:
When I was about 3 or 4yrs old, I fell and hit my head on concrete.

The longer version:
What happened was my sister, one of my cousin's, and I were against a pet gate that was put in place to keep me from falling into the laundry room and hurting myself. They were holding onto it so that I wouldn't accidentally knock it down and hurt myself cause I was a large child. The laundry room had sat about a foot below the foundation of the old farm house that my family lived in at the time. So for a child, this was a large drop.

Well they had decided to let go of the pet gate and in doing so, the weight of my body caused the gate to give and I was launched into the laundry room, hitting my head on the concrete floor below. I only remember my mother sitting next to me on the couch and holding a bag of ice on my head cause I had a "goose egg" on my forehead while I was crying and telling her that I was tired. I remember her telling me to not go to sleep cause she believed that I could have slipped into a coma.

To this day, I believe that I had hit my head hard enough to have gotten a concussion and nor do I have any memory of my parents ever taking me to the hospital after I had fallen and hit my head.

As a result of that incident, its quite possible that most of my mental health and personality problems growing up, and that still effect me to this day, are related to that fall but I have no evidence to back this assumption as I've never gone to get checked out in the years since.
