I had an encounter with 4 big, wild cockatoos that didn't fly away when I approached them last week! They weren't scared at all!

Not surprising, cockatoos can be like pigeons. They'll come up to you if you're eating something or they'll be curious about what you're doing. Or they'll be in crowded places and not be scared of humans. They are quirky and friendly.
