You really are gorgeous Miss Freya. Suffering from the same issue, I understand where you're coming from, so I know me saying that won't automatically flip a switch. However, I wholeheartedly believe it. :3
I hate spiders that much, that I literally dragged a friend out of bed by his hand, in the middle of the night just to catch one. A huge one too lol ...Know what he did?.....He got a plastic see through container... Caught it inside the container and put the lid one....sounds ok right? ...Well it Would of been but he then put the container with the huge ass Godzilla spider in it on the middle of the kitchen counter on top of my chocolate !!!!....Yes!!! lol you hear me!!! lol on top of my darn chocolate!!!! lol

I can't say I have OCD, but I do fixate on certain things. I jiggle my door handles 3 times to make sure they are locked. I push my car key fob 3 times to both lock and unlock. If I'm using my oven I push the temp in sequences of 3. If I reach the required temp and I have one or two taps to go...the temp is just going to be 5 or 10 degrees higher...¯\_(ツ)_/¯ there's definitely more, but I'll stop there.

Hahaha me too! I go every 3 months, everyone thinks I'm weird...well I am, but not because of the dentist trips!
