Banter Random Facts About Yourself

You and me both on the activist thing.
My brother is the best man I know and he gets so much shit from women our age. Theyre violent judgmental and he gets to the point where hes like you know what fk it whats the point. He had the same thing growing up he got his ears peirced back in the 90s and our fraternal grandparents were horrible to him calling him names and acting like they didnt want anything to do with him. I see what he goea through with society as a whole and to all you guys on here yes even the creepy ones you have my sympathies. You go through so much in your lives and you dont have the support you need. You dont get to call a friend or someone you know and just bawl or have genuine conversations about your feelings and it breaks my heart.
I'm a bit different in that regard. I usually share my feelings with my friends and have the confidence to say what I need (for the most part,) but I have friends that were suicidal because of the way society treats them. It's hard to be a man nowadays :D someone's always expecting something from you and it sucks

Regarding men and expectations, I think it's wrong to expect them to be "tough" and not cry. My ex husband's mom called him a sissy as a young boy whenever he would cry so he grew up holding it all in and having anger problems. Whenever I cried he would get so uncomfortable. I hate old ideas about what should and shouldn't be. Let people be who they are!!

Exactly!!! Unfortunately society is still on the same opinion as his mom.

I am too. But guess we'll see. I'm not seeing much change in young men :D my little bro is already acting really tough because he thinks it's cool
Everyone needs people to teach them. My youngest is very sensitive and cries regularly. He hasn't quite figured out how to regulate those big feelings but I think for a 12 year old he's doing ok. Kids tends to emulate the people around them. It might take a few generations lmao

Well let's hope it changes for the better eventually. Because bottling up feelings always causes problems
