for example i recently acquired a large steel ice lock which when filled with water and then frozen, secures a metal pole into the lock case. Both case and pole have a metal hoop to which to tie things too.....and so if tied correctly, unable to reach the knots to untie, you are stuck, until the ice melts. Bwetween 1 - 2 hours.
