So I just made this account a couple days ago on my phone and I use my PlayStation 4 to chat while I play games and I have severe typing lag very often. Any good fixes or ways to reduce lag?

Forgot to mention I have very good Wi-Fi. Carrots helped me set it up while she was visiting but she's got no idea what to do about this lag problem.

That’s a local hardware issue—it can’t keep up with all the JavaScript.
When I’m at home, I use an 8-core processor cranked up to 4.4GHz, 24GB of RAM, fast connection and experience all sorts of delays (all rooms open, 1,000-line backlog).
All you can do is reduce backlog lines, make sure some processing is handled by the gfx card and run nothing else on the browser.
