It's been in the mid-to-upper 80's during the past week. Balanced amount of rain too. So far so good.
That's lucky: here we have unnatural cold and wet after early warmth, which is disastrous for those who optimistically planted out too soon. Early plants are OK but later ones suffering. I am lucky to have a greenhouse and a lot of caution - "ne'er cast a clout till May is out" is back as good advice with a vengeance.
Why is it that I can only think of how beautiful your Tulips must be....

You could always strategically drive some stakes into the ground around the area you're looking to protect from frosty nights and cover the area with plastic film. I actually had to do that last year. Covered each seedling with a box (there were probably 30+ boxes), draped plastic film over beds and weighed down the edges to keep the heat in. Temps went down below freezing for at least eight hours, but everything survived.
That's a good idea: we aren't used to late deep frosts, certainly not lasting for days as they have this year. And now we have exceptional rain and high winds which are driving the sea salt inland. Which is probably why we have a tamarisk hedge....
