Lamar thank you for creating this thread and all who have taken time to make mention of the many of us who have served our countries. I just want you all to know it does not go bye unappreciated. With all that is going on in the world these days it is the young men and women currently serving that must also be in our thoughts.

And for not only those of us that have looked evil in the eyes and fought fiercely for our brothers next to us, but for all those who served in supporting roles feeding us and making sure our equipment was working the best it possibly could be with the limited supplies given to you, I thank you all

To us and those like us, oath keepers, sheep dogs, who continue to do what we do keeping our countries, family, friends, and strangers safe from things that go bump in the night. Those of us that continue to walk the streets and shopping centers with our heads on a swivel. Those of us who will lean into the fight long before running from it......

A lovely military man selling poppies stopped me today and asked if he could reposition mine - while doing so he told me that women should wear their poppy on their right side; the red represents the blood of all those who gave their lives, the black represents the mourning of those who didn't have their loved ones return home, and the green leaf represents the grass and crops growing and future prosperity after the war destroyed so much. The leaf should be positioned at 11 o'clock to represent the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the time that World War One formally ended.
