Kermode Bear aka Spirit Bear
Kermode-Bear-aka-Spirit-Bear.jpg
The Kermode bear (Ursus americanus kermodei), also known as the "spirit bear" (particularly in British Columbia), is a rare subspecies of the American Black Bear living in the Central and North Coast regions of British Columbia, Canada. It is the official
provincial mammal of British Columbia. While most Kermode bears are black, there are between 100 and 500 fully white individuals. The white variant is most common on three islands in British Columbia (Gribbell, Princess Royal, and Roderick), where 10–20% of bears are white. Kermode bears hold a prominent place in the oral traditions of the indigenous peoples of the area. They have also been featured in a National Geographic documentary. Perfect-Family-Photo-Opp.jpg

@CrystalMarker yeah spirit bears looks just beautiful.

I think I did share this, but in your post, there is the world "Ursus" in the scientific name of the bear. The Arctic derives its name for Arktos, which further means Bear. And Ursa Major is seen as a big bear constellation. Since that constellation points at the North Pole, the Ocean derived its name from it - Arctic Ocean.

Now the funny part, since you can only see the constellation from the North Pole as it points to the Pole Star (North Star), thus southern pole is Antarctic, No-Arctic

@Pinguu I watched it last night. Very Kubrick I suppose, especially the cameras. To think it was 68 is amazing really considering the attention to detail in effects.

Actually looked at Kubrick after and realized I've still not seen most of his films. Also, never realized Full Metal Jacket was his too.
