Also a fun-fact - Nemo is a Clownfish - A school of clownfish is always built into a hierarchy with a female fish at the top. When she dies, the most dominant male changes sex and takes her place. - Ahem (super capture nonetheless)

Aww thanks for the ups on my pic! I though "well isn't that something when I saw them hangin out so close together in a pretty large tank with heaps of hidey places and other fish! @Pinguu the fish memory myth has been dispelled by scientists and myself. My koi remembered me and the shake of their food container ... it's just an old wives tale, they even remember faces.
Anyway, I know NEMO is a clownfish but the rest of the I do is fascinating, had no idea!! Reminds me of seahorses!!

The fish Dory is based on does not have short-term memory loss. It is rather more awesome than that. It has several names, including royal blue tang, regal tang and surgeonfish. Its scientific name is Paracanthurus hepatus

@PheonixxxMonroe memory bit was said in jest. But Paracanthurus Hepatus look really gorgeous, even the scientific name is kinda poetic. That blue is really deep.
Fun fact the only specie whose regular name is the same as it's scientific name is ......... Boa Constrictor.
