2 weeks later: "We need to delay the effective date of the promotion by four weeks. I am committed to promoting you to trainer, you deserve it."
4 weeks later: "We intend to have training classes but when is still up in the air."
4 weeks later: "It is still up in the air, but training classes are still planned for."
2 weeks later: The person who made the offer has left the company.
2 weeks later: The new training manager says, "The promotion offer was withdrawn through no fault of your own. We withdrew the offer because we did not need a trainer."
2 and half years later: Still not a trainer.
