Lexi, if you do need to "step away" instead of deleting just block access to your profile, and remove your profile pic and banner. It's what I did with my old account. I had deleted it, but then went back in to get someone's username and it reactivated it. Told me i had to wait to re-delete. So I just blocked the world from it.
