It's utility grade meat with less marbling and less flavor, that's why it's so cheap. Meaning, it's meant for use in processed meals/foods, like canning, maybe chili, stews, foods containing bits of meats, etc. Not meant to be used as steak to my understanding. It's not cut thick either. Just as good for daily eating in my opinion and I don't need $18/lb ribeye (Costco sells big packs for like $18/lb or a bit less and that's cheap). Perfect with eggs and avocado.
