A cicada from Provence can sing at a volume of 90 to 120 decibels (dB) when it is close by.

They only "sing" when it's above 28C / 82F so they will have about 2 or 3 hours rest per night a slong as the weather forecast goes

I deal with cicadas every year where I live.

Find a wooded patch where cicadas mingle and get your ears rung.
