What system do you play on?

In general for PC. I didn't have a controller for my PC until now. But all those older systems I had physically at one point that had controllers. I moved around so much I didn't have space for them. It's why I chose PC and why I never could get into the console culture. The game files can be pretty large, it's the only reason why some of these newer games (like wii games) I don't have so many because they take a lot of space. And i'll check out sly cooper, never played that one.

Everyone talking about open world, I could never get used to games like that. There is way too much to do. I spent hours just fucking around with stupid things in Skyrim that had nothing to do with the plot of the game. I kept getting lost hahah. These games are not for me, but it was scenic to see all these beautiful games with great graphics, really makes you immersed in it. All the older games I like had the worst graphics.

Wii sports and Wii sports resort were always amazing for me. Also I liked Mario party, not sure where you play but I have a vague memory of playing i when I was 4/5? Somewhere around there.
Sly Cooper 1 was for Playstation 1 and probably a new kind of platformer to it, I reccomend Jak & Daxter too, always the first one even though the sequels were really good.

I think the worst graphics can sometimes be better even some games with bad graphics can be the best ones with still thousands of players. Like Mario 64 for example.

The thing about the wii emulator is that you need a SPECIFIC type of controller for that so that it functions like a wii-mote used to on an actual wii. It's why I don't play my wii games with a controller. They do make wii controllers for your PC, but I don't have enough games to do that. I know what Sly cooper is, I just never played it. As for Mario party I played the first 2 because they were on N64. I have not played any of the newer mario afterwards in that series because I think it ruins friendships lol.

And graphics don't really matter to me, it's just a lot of these PS1 games (for example) had such shitty graphics you could barely see what was going on. It sucked because the art was excellent for these games. Particularly these old RPG games with beautiful art from Japan, but the graphics were terrible and it didn't do the games justice. I didn't think Mario 64 was too bad, but everything in Mario is very simplistic. You really didn't need to have the beautiful graphics for it to make sense of that universe. It's why I welcome these game remakes because a lot of it was lost in translation or nothing looked nice. Mario 64 may have looked rough, but a lot of the other Mario games for N64 like paper Mario was pretty great graphics wise.

Ah so maybe if you get more games that you enjoy maybe it's worth it, the japanese and chinese gaming companies generally use different softwares to build their games I guess. But all these games have their charm.

Bad graphics always remind me of that Lara Croft game with triangular boobs, first waifu I guess. The graphics don't really matter there was this one rpg for ps1 it was a horror game too, I loved the game but I was so young I was too scared of passing through certain parts. It was always good company, therefor I still play them today. Well there's this open world game that has no sidequests that is really straight forward, you just need to horse ride yourself to the different objectives, it's actually one of my favourite games ever and I already attempted some speedruns on it actually, it's called Shadow of the Colossus it was orginally for PS2 but its had a remake recently.

That's exactly what i'm saying about PS1 when talking about Lara's triangle boobs. This was a PS1 thing though. I think most of the games looked like this. It was just a shame because a lot of action/rpg games that had beautiful art on the game guides/picture book/promotional art but really crappy graphics. PS1 Lara croft was scary lol.

I'll have to check that out then. I do have a PS2 emulator, but I haven't figured out how to set it up yet. But if it has a remake, it might be on steam. Which would be so much easier for me than trying to set up an emulator i've never played before ;)

Well for a 5 year old that was the most developed stuff, maybe it's weird that she is one of my biggest memories uh.. I guess some bugs and teleports in the game were really scary. I never really managed to get access to any game guides since I always got the second-handed games.

Hm, I think Shadow of the colossus is a PlayStation exclusive but not sure. I'll check it later today, and good luck with the emulator, I don't know anything about them but if you need help I'd gladly try to

Getting lost in open-world, doing nothing related to the quest is what I enjoy in Open World. plus happy moment when suddenly a rare herb/ingredient pops in

I just like the idea of everything being limitless for awhile, like you have so many things to do you know it's gonna be good fun.

Throughout my life, I have played anything from a NES to a Xbox One.
I used to play my Xbox One a lot but lost interest and the games are damn expensive too.
I now mostly play emulators on my MacBook and my NES Mini Classic (limited on games but still fun)

That's what I do as well. Console gaming is expensive...maybe one day I'll go back to console. But today is not that day.

Agreed, gaming on console as casual and fun it is it ends up being way too expensive.
Games ranging from 50 to 75 bucks isn't a small price to pay for entertainment, they end up being up to 40 hours of fun but sometimes it isn't worth and you gotta rely on reviews various times.
So at the end of the day, having some other ways of gaming always goes easier on the wallet...

I loved my pc, but my hard drive burned out on me, plus I gotta upgrade my cpu, gpu, and ram to play most of the newer games I wanna play. And i3 and a GeForce 640 just don't cut it for a lot of newer games. Love my ps4 though, worth it for Spiderman and Days Gone alone.

I own so many friggin' systems, both classic and modern. I got my trusty gaming laptop, gtx 1050, not the best but gets the job done for sure. Switch, Xbox 360, Ps1 which I still use fairly regularly, A Game Boy Advance that has been custom modded to have a back lit screen, I have a few of plug 'n plays, including a Namco one, the Spongebob one where you use his nose as a joystick lol, and some bootleg ass handheld that looks like an N64 controller but has a bunch of NES games built in.
I'd say My PC and Switch are the two most used means of playing games these days for me.
