A group of people wrongly being framed as a Clique.
Cian leave it please. You aren’t going to change his mind and it’s just going to continue the issues.
I will give it a rest. I don’t want to change his mind. I think it was very insulting and poor judgment from him.
I don’t hold grudges I just say what I have to. I asked for his help last night with a couple of questions I thought he could answer. So trust me I’m not looking for a fight.

A clique is a tightly-knit, small group of like-minded people with shared interests. It's literally what the social fabric consists of. What's even the problem? You defined it yourself—a group of people. wtf?
You'll never change anyone's mind on real definitions of words, especially when you accuse them of being in poor judgement or insolence.

The major thing which you must know you are missing is yes a small tight group, but a Clique is not open to others, not welcoming to others, A clique turns on its own if they say the wrong thing.
I was welcomed immediately, a Clique wouldn’t let it happen. Yesterday’s event was actually the first time I’ve been angry on here, because I knew it was nonsense. I said so, and a couple of people said they would respect my opinion on it. So again as a newish poster they failed at being a clique by listening to me and not all joining in.
So I’m sorry to me the choice of words used are important. Clique as groups are mostly not very pleasant. Clique is a very negative term, frankly an insulting term.
Your use of it shocked me, because you could have said it very differently.
Your post closing down the thread yesterday started with you being rightly angry and saying so and what you expected to happen next.
You then clearly had some things you wanted to get off your chest. That involved the total and complete misuse of what a clique is.
You have a hell of a job keeping the forums and chat flowing. You must deal with all sorts, making sure the rules are followed. I have nothing respect for that.
I personally think you’ve misjudged your words this time.
That’s it Clique is not a nice word, it has nothing but negativity in its meaning.
The group on that thread, may have their flaws and might at times feel your anger.
But they are no Clique that is for certain

I don’t have any insight into what this situation is about or the people involved, but I’m going to throw in my two cents about the word “clique.” The term itself isn’t inherently negative. If you look up synonyms (inner circle, group, or pack) it simply describes a set of people with shared interests or common ground. Cliques are a normal and natural part of any social environment.
Where things can go wrong isn’t the existence of a clique, but the behavior that sometimes develops within one. So, contrary to what you’re saying with the word being an insult, it’s more about the behavior that CAN happen. When a group becomes exclusive, dismissive of others, or starts making assumptions, etc, that’s when feelings get hurt and drama can arise. In other words, the issue isn’t the label—it’s how people choose to act within the group dynamic.
I respect your personal opinion on this matter. If I can say one thing, If you use synonyms that will generally change the actual meaning of any word.
Someone you actually have respect for being wrong about your actions, is unexpected. I take things that happen as they come. I have numerous posts and messages to correct the wrong thoughts. Misunderstandings happen, fix it and move on
