This was excellent - watching it last night!
Par for the course for most politicians, Sandra. They very rarely actually listen or care about anything beyond their own ambitions and virtually everything they do publicly is nothing more than a photo op to con the masses. And this is why I quit voting a long time ago. It's a complete waste of my time because they are all the same, regardless of what side of the aisle they are on.I remember meeting him in 2010. It was December 20 or 21. Like every year I volunteered for " Crisis at Christmas" Crisis is the UK''s oldest and biggest charity looking after the homeless. We were setting up the " rough sleeper center" in an empty office building when Boris walked in. With press and media making a lot of noise. He did a great show of pretending as if he cared about homelessness asking questions but not listing to what we said. He asked how many people will sleep here. 150-180 just in this building around 1500 across London. He then asked Are there that many homeless in London? I was so annoyed by him at this point I said You are the major of this town a walk around your office might open your eyes. But he didn't get it anyway. Just babbling something about how good we do our job..... I was about to say something along the lines ' because you don't do yours ' but got called by someone. He spend a total of 20minutes with us After the first 5 minutes everyone was silently begging him to just go away.
They are doomed anyway. There is a generation growing up that will make a difference. They don't live in a filter bubble, their voting behaviour can't be changed by a newspaper campaign. They are loud . The 'march of our lives ' or ' Friday for Future ' movements didn't need a PR team or training to get attention. They know how to speak to a live audience because they do it every day. On their insta or YouTube channels. I remember watching this clip where this 15 or 16 year old survivor asks Marco Rubio in a full arena, on live TV "Mr. Rubio can you promise right now not to take any NRA donations for your campaign?". They might be a bit naive, but wait till thisPar for the course for most politicians, Sandra.
