I’ve been dating your best friend Brittney for a while now, and you’ve been there as a third wheel the whole time. You’ve had a variety of short-lived boyfriends every so often at times, but nothing steady and lasting. Currently you aren’t seeing anyone, and you are going to tag along on vacation with Brittney and I. To save money we planned the trip early and got discounts by paying cheaper non-refundable prices.
Just ahead of the trip there is a lot of turnover at Brittney’s work, and Brittney finds out her once-approved leave is now denied and she won’t be able to go on the trip. Since the trip is paid for and cannot be rescheduled or refunded, it is decided that you and I should still go on the vacation as planned.
After hours of traveling we land far from home, with ten days of breaking away from the routine ahead of us.
