WTF?! (Strange But True Facts)

Kinda makes you wonder why when its a Japanese company. Anyone who knows Japanese only wouldn't recognize the English characters.

I wondered the same thing, actually. So they either were targeting English speakers when they came up with the logo (who I am sure make up a substantial percentage of their sales), or it is just a complete random accident that those letters are in the logo!

I wonder if there was an original logo, when it was just a tiny company selling to their local market?

The current logo was created in 1989 to give it worldwide recognition. The three ovals in the logo combine to form the letter "T", which stands for Toyota. The overlapping of the two perpendicular ovals inside the larger oval represents the mutually beneficial relationship and trust between the customer and the company while the larger oval surrounding both of these inner ovals represents the "global expansion of Toyota's technology and unlimited potential for the future". So the "T" is on purpose, the rest of the letters are a coincidence.

If there are 23 random people in a room, there is a 50% chance that 2 of them share the same birthday. If there are 70 random people, there is a 99.9% chance that 2 of them share the same birthday.

It's true! This is what is known as "the birthday paradox," or "the birthday problem," and is an example of probability theory. It is also an example of why I will never be able to grasp math. This is astounding to me and makes no sense, but it checks out:

Bill Wyman, the bass guitarist for the Rolling Stones for over 30 years, married Mandy Smith when he was 52 and she was 18. They had already been dating for 5 years at the time of the wedding. So yes, when they started dating he was 47 and she was 13.

It gets more bizarre, though. Wyman's oldest son Steven became engaged to Mandy's mother. Had they wed, Bill Wyman's wife would have been his granddaughter in law. Wyman's son would have been both her stepdad and stepson. Her mom would have been Wyman's mother in law and daughter in law. It just keeps going like that. And had they had kids? You do the math, lol. Crazy shit.
