    Did you know that...

John Tyler, who was born in 1790 and was the 10th p.resident of the United States, has two grandchildren who are both still alive today.

Not just great-great grandchildren, or even great grandchildren, but the children of one of his sons.

    How?

The Tyler men believed in having children late in life! P.resident John Tyler married a much younger woman after his wife died, and in 1853 (at the age of 63) he fathered Lyon Gardiner Tyler. Lyon, his son, also married again after his wife died, and fathered two children in the 1920's when he was in his 70's. Lyon Gardiner Tyler, Jr. was born in 1924, and Harrison Ruffin Tyler was born in 1928. Both of these men, direct grandchildren of the 10th US p.resident, are alive and well today.

If you're counting, that is a 228 year span encompassing only 3 generations.

EDIT: that is a 228 year span AND STILL COUNTING encompassing only 3 generations

Nowhere in the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty does it mention that he is an egg.

The earliest known version of Humpty Dumpty was published in Samuel Arnold's Juvenile Amusements in 1797 with the lyrics:

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
    Four-score Men and Four-score more,
Could not make Humpty Dumpty where he was before.

There are also various theories of an original "Humpty Dumpty". One, advanced by Katherine Elwes Thomas in 1930 and adopted by Robert Ripley, posits that Humpty Dumpty is King Richard III of England, depicted as humpbacked in Tudor histories and particularly in Shakespeare's play.

Tigers have striped skin, not just striped fur. And like fingerprints, no two tigers have the exact same stripes.

Dolphins can put half their brain asleep. They will swim and move about, but half there brain is actually awake. The other half displays sleep patterns in activity.

This tends to really surprise people who live in the US anywhere other than on the west coast. Surprised the hell out of me!

Reno, Nevada is farther west than Los Angeles, California.

Editor Bennett Cerf challenged Dr. Seuss to write an entire book using no more than 50 different words, betting him it couldn't be done. Dr. Seuss accepted the challenge, and the result was one of the best selling books for children of all time: Green Eggs and Ham.

He used exactly 50 words throughout the book: a, am, and, anywhere, are, be, boat, box, car, could, dark, do, eat, eggs, fox, goat, good, green, ham, here, house, I, if, in, let, like, may, me, mouse, not, on, or, rain, Sam, say, see, so, thank, that, the, them, there, they, train, tree, try, will, with, would, you.

In Korea, We believe that your blood type says something about your personality, much like how westerners view horoscopes. A's are perfectionists, B's are creative, AB's are rational & O's are confident.
