It's a public forum, meaning any registered member is able to view and/or comment as they see fit. People who post in public forums typically welcome responses from the public, hence the term "public." If I may suggest, should you prefer not to receive public responses to your public post, perhaps switch to a form of communication that is not quite as... public.
