Scrubby I knitted for my aunt. Knitting one more then going back to knitting on my lap blanketMy therapeutic hour back at work today was tough. Emotionally draining. I prepared for this possibility and packed up a change of clothes. I drove to a woodland and changed my outfit and shoes and went for a two hour walk, all alone. The silence was so beautiful, I didn't even listen to music. I just listened to the wind, the leaves, the birds. Barely saw a soul. The emotions rushed back later. But at least I gave myself calm, during those two hours.

My diamond painting is coming along ...
The idea is to gift this to my grandmother for her 96th birthday. Thankfully I've given myself time - two months, to do this. But if it's not finished, that's ok too, she'll just get it later.
The main idea is to enjoy it and help me focus on something other than bad emotions and feel relaxed. Added bonus is it gives me a sense of accomplishment.

It was extremely foggy this morning. I took a gamble and drove to the woodland I m visited Tuesday. An hour away, but once there, totally worth the effort. Given the news I received later, extra glad I went, it gave me some much needed mental energy.

No walk today. The weather was gloomy and wasn't feeling like driving to the woods. In stead I did lots of diamond painting. The canvas is about three times this section.
