Anyone who asks for advice but doesn't actually want the advice. They just want to be validated. It's fine if that's what you're looking for. But often times they just want to waste your time by not wanting to take the advice you give. If you're just going to do what you want anyway, why ask anyone's opinion?

This doesn't slap the same way when a man I don't know does it. I think i'm fine with older women calling me pet names. I live in a part of the world where everyone in the service industry calls you pet names. That's not an issue because it's not personal and cultural. But I get the ick from men I don't know who come into my dms like that.
theyre usually just hoping the opinion you offer will validate the one they already have, and if it doesnt they just ignore it. in my experience.
My babe dislike mostly comes from being called that right off the bat by someone I don’t know (hey babe how you doing etc)…it comes off as very condescending and presumptuous
