I know, I'm finding it really hard to just ignore it. It's the spelling as well!!!!

Plus the crap on people's profile. They've hardly finished the joining process and they are greater with 20 messages and it's all bollocks..

I think people often use the internet for sheer escapism. Let's face it you can adopt any persona you like and who's going to know the difference? You can be sexy or slutty, funny or serious etc. But you can't chop and change on one site or you'll quickly find yourself 'outed'.

I see a lot more in text than people may think also. When you're more mature, or with more life experience you can quickly spot patterns of behaviour that don't ring true.

None taken Spangle. Trust me takes a lot to wind me up. I just laugh at things :)

Indeed I totally agree. In a former job I spent a lot if time looking at what people say, do, write under stress. So I can often spot the bullshit in the first couple of lines. It's often why I get on well with people with the same mindset as me. Creative, clever, sarcastic :)
