Group Banter Race to a million

the model was brought in to stop clubs overspending and going out of business. its not ideal and restricts clubs that could afford to spend more (Newcastle and Aston VIlla for instance and so a smaller degree United too). its impacted the big clubs as well as the small.
It’s only restricted Utd in their spending because they want to build a new stadium. The rules were written partly as you say to stop clubs going out of business but they are not fit for purpose and don’t allow for fair competition which is strangely a big part of city’s argument going forward.
I find it strange that club owners can’t spend their own money, yet other clubs are over £1bn in debt but can still spend because the rules only seem to cover revenue, but not debt

@shambles925 do you think the punishment happens before the season ends? how do you think it affects the transfer window?! AHHHHHH i have so many questions....

No, I don’t think it does as City seem like they want to take the fight further. Until they run out of appeal routes or if they were to somehow win then there will be no way to punish them. If they were punished before all routes of appeal were exhausted but were then to win one of those appeals how would any punishment be undone?
