AI : Friend or a Foe

Alexa , Siri , Cortana , google now , etc are a few friendly examples of AI , yet we are scared how it would turn out to be in the near future .

Machine learning and deep learning is impacting our future in a better way . Yes human jobs are replaced with softwares but there’s much more to work for in the future and much more to learn and adapt .

Not as scary as the movie media portrays it . Thoughts ?

AI has been around a lot longer than those you mentioned. I do not know of any real life instances where AI has been a foe or a threat

Those were just relatable examples , yes it’s been longer than that , dates back to Alan Turing and his machine too . But some do claim it’s a foe or a threat .

I recently saw a video of a robot moving boxes under its own will and power. It was made at a college. Doesn’t sound too menacing, I know, but the technology used to make it is scary advanced. So, probably foe. (Screw you, Siri!)
