I love sea otters. If I could have one outside and take care of it I would totally do it!

The sea otter is a marine mammal native to the coasts of the northern and eastern North Pacific Ocean. They are one of heaviest of the weasel family, but one of the smaller marine mammals. Can spend its entire life in the water. Also they apparently eat a lot... they must consume between 25 and 40 percent of its body weight daily, just to keep warm. Oh and I just found out sea otters often sleep together holding paws together in order the keep from drifting apart!

I want me one

This is a lovely thread. :)

People might not like them very much, but vulture are constantly protecting us from diseases (not all of them as you may have noticed) by eating the remains of carcass and sort of pee on them to kill all germs. Their piss or the liquid they release (I don't remember) is a strong anti germs.

Poachers place poisoned carcass to kill them because they are signaling rhinos death to rangers.

Sorry for my bad english and if you read this in Sir David Attenboroughs voice it's funny.

As one of FCNs world's most foremost experts on walruses....

Walruses even have a special method for eating shellfish such as clams and mussels: They hold the shell in their mouth with their lips sealed around it, then create such strong suction with their tongue that the meat pops out of the shell. Imagine those oral skills!

The males possess a large penis up to 63 cm (25 in) in length, the largest of any land mammal, both in absolute size and relative to body size.

Both males and females have tusks.

The triplewart seadevil anglerfish
This one's a female. And you see that tiny parasite on her side? That's the male. It would be like if a human male only came up to a woman's ankle. Instead of hunting for his own food, the male bites into the female, fusing his body with hers and living off the nutrients in her blood In return, he provides the one thing he has to offer: sperm.

Barnacle
This little crustacean has proportionally the longest penis of any animal on earth spanning up to 10 times his body size. That's like a human's reaching the length of a bowling lane. And the barnacle needs it because he can't move around very easily. So he casts out his giant penis like a fishing line to find a mate. It waves about in the current, reaching to touch, and fertilize, the female organs of its neighbor.

Koalas...

A crime in a zoo's koala cage would probably confound the efforts of even the best detectives. Why? Because koalas, doll-sized marsupials that climb trees with babies on their backs, have fingerprints that are almost identical to human ones. Not even careful analysis under a microscope can easily distinguish the loopy, whirling ridges on koalas' fingers from our own.

ALL FEMALE SPOTTED HYENAS HAVE FUNCTIONAL PENISES. THEY USE IT PEE, SIGNAL, ANALLY MOUNT MALES & FEMALES FOR DOMINANCE, AND GIVE BIRTH.

Intersex plumbing is found in ALL females of the spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta) of Tanzania—in which the females have penises nearly indistinguishable from those of the males. (EN23)…The first scientific investigation in 1939 showed that a spotted hyena makes only one-size gamete throughout its life, either as an egg or sperm. (EN24) Thus these hyenas are not hermaphrodites. Rather, female spotted hyenas are intersexed, like some female bears.
The females have a phallus 90% as long and the same diameter as a male penis (yes, somebody measured, 171 millimeters long and 22 millimeters in diameter). The labia are fused to form a scrotum containing fat and connective tissue resembling testicles. The urogenital canal runs the length of the clitoris, rather than venting from below. The animal can pee with the organ, making it a penis. Completing the picture, the female penis contains erectile tissue (corpus spongiosum) that allows erections like those of a male penis.

Orangutans melt my freaking heart. I wub themmmm!
Random fact: In Malay and Indonesian orang means "person" and utan is derived from hutan, which means "forest." Thus, orangutan literally means "person of the forest."

The deadliest animals on the planet. This is one mosquito out of over 3000 species.
It's the female that does most the damage while the males make the noise.
Male mosquitoes will often "swarm" together and wait for a female to pass through the cloud of flying dicks.

One of my favorite animals usually leaves all alone unless they are injured or agrivated. They fear nothing and no one because of they size nor mice it's a myth. The power of an Elephant and then he was not even really on seriously attacking just warning to get out of way . I had the privilege of seeing an angry elephant in action and it was frightening the car was completely written off.

They are strong enough to rip your arm off, yet gentle if you are kind to them.

Clint Eastwood was very nervous about being alone with “Clyde.” He almost did not make Every Which Way But Loose because of those fears. He asked my dad, who raised the orangutan, how to behave when alone with it.

My dad told him they need to know you love them. If they hug you, hug them back. If they kiss you, kiss them back. If you watch those movies you see examples of when Eastwood did just that.
