Video Gaming Anyone into Warhammer 40k?

I recently started getting into warhammer 40k and found the lore incredibly addictive

there is so much cool stuff to learn from the Death Korp of Krieg to the Adeptus Mechanicus

I was wondering if anyone else here is into it as well :)
 
I'm kinda trying to get into it but the problem for me is I dunno where to start with it too big for my small brain

that is the same problem i had haha, but i found a podcast on Spotify about it. Where one guy was pretty knowledgeable on Warhammer lore and his best friend is a total newbie. So they discuss the cool parts and the silly parts of the Warhammer lore in a simpler way while also pointing out its ridiculousness

the podcast is called Adeptus Ridiculous in case you are interested
 
Yeah I've listened to it it's a fun listen but the reason I did listen to it in the first place was because of the host is one of my favourite youtubers haha but I'm gonna start listening to it more and hopefully I can learn a bit about 40k

that painting skill is amazing, my hands are way too shaky for painting and i just don't have the patience for it

I am looking to get more into the different games, i want to play the adeptus mechanicus game, because any race that loves ripping themselves apart and slapping on metal limbs, while also having sex with toasters is amazing in my view.

Its alot of cheaty techniques to get a decent look tbh.
Demons and robots are easy to paint but armour and faces are quite difficult.

Sounds like you might also like the drukari or slanesh to me xD

Druhkari are the dark eldar right? Are they not like...extremely brutal lol

the Druhkari turn people into furniture and keep them alive while using them as said furniture and in order to keep the god Slanesh away from them in the warp, they have to keep up with their murder sex orgies. Welcome to warhammer xD
 
Ok I love em lol well apart from the whole ya know murder schtick but who doesn't like dark elves basically
 
If your not a fan of the whole murder thing then 40k may not be for you on the whole xD

I might join a bit late, but I have been thinking between Tau and Drukhari.

I like the lore of Drukhari but Tau sound easier to play and paint.
 
I don't play war hammer because that requires something called money but personally I really like the drukhari best but that's just coming from someone who knows next to nothing about it haha
 
I love the models and the game is really fun to play! Although it is decidedly expensive. I currently have two armies, Chaos Worldeaters (love the lore) and Space Wolves (Easy paint and they win a lot)

Sounds like one is for fun and the other is for meta?
 
hey idk if this is a dead forum thread or not but i wanted to drop in! :)

My favourite faction has to be The Sisters Of Battle, i love how they are just over the top religious for Big E xD
