Frankly, I think it's just stupidity. I don't even send unsolicited PMs. I'd much rather chat in the room, and whisper a request to PM. I often wonder if giant dick pic means, I don't know what I'm doing, hope you're desperate enough to want a large dick to just accept this.
I've actually been curious about this too. Not necessarily about sending them...I can kind of understand why one sends unsolicited pics (might be guilty of that). But why is it so exciting or appealing to photograph your genitals? I think men have so many other more photographable features. Now that has probably more to do with the lack of other sexual areas on the male body. Most men (not all) don't want pegged or a finger stuck in their asses, so while they may have a nice butt, it doesn't register as sexual. Sticking your tongue out is usually associated with teasing or ridicule and taking a pic of you're fingers isn't something most guys thing of sending.
Again, it's probably due more to blind stupidity than anything else.

Tbh I'm not sure why but I'll try and give an answer I think from a man's perspective woman have so many wonderful parts about there body's the men enjoy to see, boobs,bum the list could be quite endless now from a man's point of view the only thing that he may see(and this isn't every man) as been an opposite to all the sexy things they see in a woman is his cock. Firstly, let me say all this is a generality and ALL Generalities are false, including this one - lol.. I honestly believe that men and women are shaped they way they are because it's what draws the eye of the opposite sex. It's why for centuries homosexuals were viewed as "odd", we now know it's just perspective, but it doesn't change the fact that that perspective is just that a perspective. Generally, men don't think of their other parts as sexy or more to the point they think that they are utilitarian.
But it comes down to how men parse information rather than being vain-glorious (although that is part of it). If you ask a man what his hands are good for, they will list a hundred things before they get to sex, not that they can't massage, grope, pinch, twists and finger the hell out of their partners, but it isn't the primary thing men think of.
And the same can be said of every other part of the male physique, when it comes to the penis though, you piss and you fuck. That's it 50/50 utilitarian and sex - therefore, it's the primary thing we think of. (again, this is a generality, don't read too deep into it). When a man looks at a women they see boobs, ass, legs, pussy, back, neck, etc because women 'allow' (for lack of a better word) themselves to think of their whole body as sexy or at least can.
Honestly, for myself, the sexiest thing a woman has is their mind, and it is the primary erogenous zone, seduce a woman's mind, her body will follow. But a brain scan isn't hot. so.... Also the first thing I notice on a woman is her eyes. After that it's the boobs...

Well scientifically speaking, to procreate and mold the next generation. Realistically, to be a friend, listen and respect your partner and if said time comes, having sex with them therefore learning what they like or don’t like to do.
