Sharing private content in public is a pretty crappy thing to do—it's common sense.
Once you block the user, you won't receive any more messages from them. If over time, they circumvent your attempts to block them and continue to harass you, take screenshots and report to moderator.
A lifetime ban would prevent you from posting here, because you would no longer have a profile.
