When copying and pasting text into a post from websites that apparently use a light gray font, the light mode feature of this site catches it. The dark mode feature doesn't. I primarly use dark mode. Other people cant read the light gray on white

Not sure what exactly you're saying the problem is...

That's not a bug. That's how dark theme is configured for readability and simplicity.

If in dark mode and the user copies in text with hidden formatting, the formatting should be stripped out because the user cannot see that it was there. If in light mode, the formatting shows so the user can correct it. If you want to call this incorrect handling of hidden formatting a "feature" then go ahead. Still a bug.

I just copied your text from here:

Pasting it:

What a magnificent combination! 🤩🫦

First the nets to catch the eye
Of thoes like me who drift by
Sweet little hearts holding you secure
Little lacy skirt to add some playful fun
Ivy like laces tying it all together.
A beautiful black selection
A confident and sexy woman I have no objection.

None of the formatting carried over (iPhone).

Sometimes, certain formatting attributes do get carried over, but only with size/font-weight-formatted text, hotlinked usernames and <a href>'d text.

To strip all code, the workaround I use on iPhone and Windows PC is to paste all text into address bar (or use some app that strips it), copy it back from there and paste it in forums.

Yeah, outside workarounds are good... workarounds. Thanks for diving into it. This can be marked as a quality of life issue.

I would complain to Xenforo, tbh. If we started messing with internal CSS or turn off some functions, something unintended might (likely) break.
