Do Americans care about the 189 other countries

It depends on who. A psychopath would not or a sociopath. Trum p would not care at all. Neither would Wall Street which to me runs this nation. Some people might as it varies.
 
If America did not care then their armed forces would not be present in so many countries. Whether this is good or bad is up to the viewer.
 
An average citizen from any big democracy doesnt know much about Global politics. What they hear from the mainstream media, is mostly controlled by the Gov't for patriotic purposes or to get their small propaganda done.
It is the responsibility as an individual to seek information from various sources. Question everything and always be TOLERANT to listen.

You can't blame Americans for being ignorant about the outside world. America itself is is another world of its own. They are self dependent in every manner, be it sports or measuring units. Currently, 90% of the Americans think the middleast is all chaos and havoc. Its just an example. Its about how and from where u receive ur information.
