Actually music education and playing music helps a young mind progress a lot quicker and better. We never had proper music education in school, so when I decided I wanted to study music I had to start from zero. But when I saw a kid in Lithuania trying to play some stuff on his recorder, when I was on a field trip it was pretty impressive. Music teaches children discipline, persistence and help their brain function better, so don't be sorry for learning some music Heather (sorry for the rant I just saw the meme and had to share the story)
